About the owner

Karen trained with Steve Diller owner of The Center for Animal Behavior and Canine Training in 2001.  She is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge and Skills Assessed through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.  Karen is also a Certified Nose Work Instructor through NACSW for K9 Nose Work.

Past Training Director for PCOTC Family Manners Program and Nose Work Program located in White Plains, NY.  Check out www.teachrover.com for more information about various classes.

Karen is responsible for implementing a volunteer dog training program at the SPCA of Westchester, Inc. where she trained dogs during her schooling.  She is also the evaluator for the Golden Outreach program where people have their dogs evaluated to visit nursing homes or take one of the approved shelter dogs.

She is certified through Sue Sternberg for the CASA shelter dog program for Training Wheels and Train to Adopt.   She did her Instructor Training Course with Pia Sylvani and Sue Sternberg at Rondout Valley Animals for Adoption in Accord, NY.

Karen has attended the annual APDT conference since 2001 and has attended several Clicker Expos.  She is an avid seminar attendee enjoying various speakers such as Patricia McConnell Phd, Trish King, Suzanne Clothier, Steve White, Terry Ryan, Karen Pryor, Ken Ramirez, Kathy Sdao, Ray Coppinger and many others.

She enjoys training her Wirehaired Pointing Griffon mix Leo and Suka a Siberian Husky in Rally Obedience and Nose Work.  She also works with the SPCA of Westchester shelter dogs in nose work.
